Mother’s Day

Happy belated Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there, especially to my mom Ruth, my mother-in-law Ma Gee, my sister Marchesa, and my sister-in-laws Justine and Joyce. God bless you for all the care, sacrifices, and most of all love that you give your families.

As for my Mother’s Day, I actually got my present a little early on Saturday. Sam usually likes to prepare breakfast for the boys on Saturdays to let me have a little more time to myself so I didn’t think too much of it when I heard the sounds of breakfast being made. I didn’t even think too much of it that Hong was helping cook since it’s one of his interests these days. So imagine my surprise when I went downstairs and Sam proudly handed me this for breakfast.

It’s a double chocolate chip pancake. Sam said it was made especially for Moter’s Day and that it was a heart. I asked if it was supposed to be in the shape of a real heart but he said nope, a heart as in <3. I looked at it closely but still couldn’t make out the heart. Apparently, Sam used a mold and it did start out looking like a heart. We’re just not sure when it morphed into something else. Regardless, it was quite yummy; I had to restrain myself from eating too many.

Thank you again Sam for your thoughtfulness in observing Mother’s Day. You know I love being the mom to our wonderfun kids.

  • mmm…that pancake looked delicious. Maybe if there was less batter in the heart shaped mold, it will cook in that shape easier. : P

I can tell you are very appreciated by Sam and the kiddies. You lucky mom!! Hugs!
