Usually, we spend Chinese New Year in Canada to celebrate with Sam’s family. However, as the boys are in school this year, we were unable to go up so my family decided to come over and spend it with us instead. We had my parents over a couple of years ago, but this was the first time my brother and my sister and her family were able to come as well. Thank goodness CNY fell on a Sunday so we were able to prepare pretty well for it, but I must admit I don’t know how in-laws do it. Our menu consisted some of our usuals – dumplings, chicken and veggies, steamed fish, sweet and sour beef, vermicelli, shrimp tempura, with a couple new recipes – lettuce wraps, scallops with veggies – to the mix. I think we were as efficient as we could be, but it still took us a while to finish everything. At least everyone seemed to enjoy it ^_^

2012 is the Year of the Dragon so the boys made dragons at school. They came home quite proud with their crafts so Sam couldn’t resist and show off his own skill at dragon making. Here are the pictures of the boys showing off their dragon artistry. Of course, MM couldn’t be left out of the group hug so you can see her sneak in to join them.

On a side note,
